Tutoring
The Student Services staff works closely with the faculty to provide
tutoring services. Faculties refer academically successful students
to be tutors and Student Services processes the students. They can work
up to twenty (20) hours a week. There are no full time tutors available
to students. Students are informed from orientation and in their classes
that they can request tutoring if they need help. Most of the tutoring
needed is for math and especially algebra. Faculty and the Dean of Students
work closely to match tutors with students and their schedules. Student
Interns in the technology department often tutor students needing assistance
with computer classes or just using computer applications.
